Ready to Make a Defense

The Apostle Peter wrote that you should always be "ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15). Many people misread that scripture as a call to be prepared to defend Christianity as a religion against arguments or attacks from unbelievers or people of other religions. But in this 20-Minute Bible Study, we take a closer look at what it’s really saying.

We Beg You

2 Corinthians 5:20 says “we are ambassadors for Christ.” The Apostle Paul wrote this to a church. So why, in the same verse, does he then beg them to be reconciled to Christ? Is he saying they were never saved? Or is he saying something else completely? In this 20-Minute Bible Study, we study the Word to find out.

We also touch on a controversial topic: speaking in tongues.

Storing Up Treasures

Jesus said: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth … but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven." Although most Christians agree this is a direct command for disciples (mature Christians), they tend to forget how literal it should be taken and fall into the trap of placing their earthly bank account above their heavenly one. Our latest 20-Minute Bible Study will open your heart to consider why this command is so important.

Through Many Tribulations

Because salvation of the spirit is effortless (Jesus paid it all), many mistakenly believe getting into the Kingdom of God is also effortless. However, the Bible clearly teaches that effort is required. The reason this is missed? The phrase "Kingdom of God" is not well understood. In our latest 20-Minute Bible Study, we thoroughly examine its meaning.

Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

Many Christians make the mistake of believing this verse is a promise from God to give His children whatever their heart desires. But our heavenly Father will not give us material things that might interfere with our spiritual growth. He wants us to ask, seek and knock on His spiritual door for spiritual things. These are items that are of His main concern for His children, for they result in eternal blessings. Lean more in our latest 20-Minute Bible Study.
